Thys (Willie)), (showin' off a bit, methinks) leaning up against their plane... a PB4Y-1 (ser.no. 38801) # 801, one of the B-24-J's originally earmarked for USAAC, traded to the USN, and fitted out with the ERCO nose turret. A BIT OF HISTORY: "...The third tour of VPB-104 was known as "Screaming 104", whereas the first tour was "The Buccaneers". I presume the Second tour kept the Buccaneers title, although it was under the command of Lt. Commander (later Captain) Whitney Wright and not Harry Sears..."
