A BIT OF HISTORY: "...There is a History section that says the P2 Neptune was the first Land based plane used by VP-42. In WWII my Pop (William J. Brady. Known then as "Irish") switched from Cats to Venturas and I know it was land based. His WWII Log book said something to the effect. "On of the engines went out again on this land based plane. If this keeps up I'm going to go to work someplace else!"..." Contributed by James J. Craswell :w0vne@arrl.net [29JAN2001]
