Assigned to VP-936 (October 1962-September 1966), VP-935 (October 1966-April 1968), VP-66/W1 (May 1968-October 1970), VP-64 (November 1970-September 1994) and retired 30 Sep 1970. Flew aircrew in P2V-5 and P2V-7's (10 years) and P-3A's (14 years) as FCO. Was "bluecard" for FCO for 12 years. Also qualified in Julie, Radar, ECM, and MAD/Sniffer. Was MMCO in VP-64 from 1987 to 1994. The Condors are a proud, close and strong unit with an excellent tradition. They are and will be the best in my book. Memorial Picture "...OTTO, CDR William Barry Retired...My Dad, William Barry OTTO, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, died February 5, 2006, at the Florida Hospital Fish Memorial in Orange City, Florida. Dad was 80 years old. According to Dad papers, he served with VP-837, VF-935, VP-832, VP-937, VP-935 and VP-934. I am trying to trace his record of service while in the reserve. What ever happened to ADC Paul Martin, VP-935 during the late '60s? He had reserve service prior to WWII but no active during WWII hostilities or during the Korean War hostilities. Last I heard he needed a special law passed before he could retire with pay. Did this "catch 22" ever get settled? Was Chief Martin able to retire with pay?..." [22FEB2005]
