Over 100 attended this years ceremony that also included the addition of 107 names of USN casualties from aircraft accidents between 1948 - 1966 into the Book of Remembrance. Also remembered were the 6 USN VP Aviators who died in the attack on the Pentagon on 9 September 2001. This was followed by Major Norn Donovan, CAF (Ret'd) presenting the Book of Remembrance into which the 107 names were inducted. The Last Post was played by Capt Daniel Desrochers. During the Minute of Silence, 4 Silver Star jets flew overhead breaking into the missing man formation. Captain Carl French then piped the Lament followed by the Reveille performed by Capt Desrochers. Padre Marshall then delivered the Act of Remembrance...Let us remember before God, and commend to His sure keeping: those who have died for their country in war, in peacekeeping, and all who have lived and died in the service of mankind. They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, not the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning – we shall remember them!
