He was Navy Reserve CDR of VR-743 at NAS Jacksonville, Florida, in the 1970's, and flew the C-118 (twice to Viet Nam and back). He was also on the Midway Aircraft Carrier for the early 1950 Med tour, flying the AD-1 Skyraider with the VA-45 Black Knights. He retired as a Pan Am 747 Captain..."
