BREWER, ADCS(AW) George george@corporatejetcenter.com "...VT-86 NAS Pensacola, Florida 1976-1980, (E-2 -E-5) started out as a TA-4J and T-39 Plane Captain. Went to the Powerplant shop around 1978. VP-26, NAS Brunswick, Maine 1980-1984, (E-5-E-6) Powerplant shop and Quality Assurance. Deployed to NAF Lajes, Azores, Portugal, NAS Keflavik, Iceland, and NAS Bermuda along with a few dets to NS Roosevelt Roads, PR. This was the best duty station I had. RTC Great Lakes Il, 1984-1987 (E-6-CPO). Pushed 9 Recurit Companies and 7 ATD Classes. This was the worsted duty station I had. VP-17 NAS Barbers Point, Hawaii, 1987-1990, (CPO-SCPO) Started out running the powerplant shop then moved into Maintenance Control. Deployed to NAS Cubi Point, Philippinest and NAS Adak, Alaska. NAESU Det NAS Point Mugu, California 1990-1994, (SCPO) Assistant Officer in charge and then Officer in charge. What borning duty that was. VXE-6 NAS Point Mugu, California, Maintenance Control CPO. Two deployments to Christchurch NZ and one to Mc Mudro. What a great tour, NZ is a beautiful place and a person cannot even begin to what it is like on the "ice" you have to be there! I really don't miss the Navy, but I sure miss Navy people..." [29JAN2009]

It was the best of times! After i got back from nas sigonella, sicily (January 1990) I served with vaq-33 at NAS Key West, Florida from 1990 to 1992 (worked in AMU-4 P-3 Shop then move to the QA Shop for Airframes. I'm now out of the Navy working as a fulltime Tech in the Louisiana National Guard as a Sheetmetal Mechanic SSG/E-6 1992. I have 20 years now and 20 more to go. Isn't the military great!..." Reserves (drilling)'88 to '99 in CV-60 and CV-72 NRC Memphis. Currently in IRR (no drills) planning to retire in 2009..." [08JUN2001]
