A BIT OF HISTORY:  VP-49 History "...Here's a little something from a long past time, when VP-49 was on deployment to NAS Keflavik, Iceland, and beards were permitted (1976). In the top and bottom right pics they are wearing the "New style" enlisted uniforms, which didn't require ironing, and the pants didn't fade like denim did. Much easier to care for, and lasted longer. I suspect lobbyists had something to do with them going away. By the way, Helberg (directly above) did end up getting commissioned..."
